Welcome to The Pheasant
A traditional thatched pub nestled in the Cambridgeshire countryside at the heart of the beautiful village of Keyston located 15 miles from Huntingdon and 4.5 miles from Raunds. Honest, fresh, and locally sourced food forms part of the modern British menu complemented by an extensive yet eclectic wine list.
In the relaxed yet bustling bar you will find an open fire, comfy chairs, and cosy corners. The Pheasant offers a selection of real ales, cocktails, and mocktails as well as an extensive wine list and bar snacks. Alternatively, the recently redecorated bright and airy restaurant with views over the country garden and surrounding fields sets the scene for a romantic dinner or lunch and is ever popular.
The south-facing beer garden is the perfect spot to relax with a cold drink after a long walk in the countryside. Guests can ask for walking maps of the local area and four-legged friends are welcome to join their paw-rents in the bar area and garden.
We are immensely proud of our warm and welcoming team who are committed to providing great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent service to ensure our customers are keen to return.

Fine Wines for Fabulous Food
Wine
All of the wines on our list are sourced from Broadway Cellars—our sister bar and wine shop—reflecting our shared passion for great wine. This close relationship allows us to offer a dynamic, thoughtfully curated selection, rooted in quality, character, and a genuine love of discovery.
The team at The Pheasant has carefully tasted and considered each wine to create a list that is both interesting and eclectic. Designed to complement our Seasonal British Cooking, it balances contemporary discoveries with a selection of classic favourites.
We currently offer 21 wines by the glass and nearly 100 by the bottle. Every wine has been personally selected by our team, ensuring a collection that caters to a wide range of tastes and occasions.
We are immensely proud of our knowledgeable and passionate team. Please don’t hesitate to ask for a recommendation—they will be delighted to guide you through the list, whether you’re discovering something new or returning to a favourite.
If there are any favourites you'd like to enjoy at home, all wines can be purchased through Broadway Cellars website.
Dining 'al fresco'
Is a must at The Pheasant. Our south-facing garden and patio have been lovingly landscaped to make the most of space, while still maintaining the feel of a traditional country pub garden.
Drinkers, diners, and dogs are all welcome to soak up the sun (or bask in the shade) in our garden. Rehydrate with a cold drink after a long walk in the stunning local countryside or enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif on our flower-filled patio.
We serve food, drinks, and bar snacks outside during our usual opening hours.
Tables on the patio area are available to be booked please make a note of this when using our online booking system or let us know when making a reservation over the phone and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
The main garden is more relaxed, and the wooden tables are available on a ‘first come first served’ basis but rest assured there is plenty of space!
