Welcome to The Pheasant
A traditional thatched pub nestled in the Cambridgeshire countryside at the heart of the beautiful village of Keyston located 15 miles from Huntingdon and 4.5 miles from Raunds. Honest, fresh, and locally sourced food forms part of the modern British menu complemented by an extensive yet eclectic wine list.
In the relaxed yet bustling bar you will find an open fire, comfy chairs, and cosy corners. The Pheasant offers a selection of real ales, cocktails, and mocktails as well as an extensive wine list and bar snacks. Alternatively, the recently redecorated bright and airy restaurant with views over the country garden and surrounding fields sets the scene for a romantic dinner or lunch and is ever popular.
The south-facing beer garden is the perfect spot to relax with a cold drink after a long walk in the countryside. Guests can ask for walking maps of the local area and four-legged friends are welcome to join their paw-rents in the bar area and garden.
We are immensely proud of our warm and welcoming team who are committed to providing great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent service to ensure our customers are keen to return.

Fine Wines for Fabulous Food
All of the wines on our list are sourced from Liberty Wines, London who has been supplying the hospitality industry for over 25 years with exceptional quality wines from their ever-evolving portfolio.
The team at The Pheasant has worked hard together over the summer to assess, taste, and debate each wine to pull together an interesting, varied, and eclectic list that complements our modern British menu whilst still featuring several classic favourites.
We currently offer 17 wines by the glass and over 50 by the bottle, of which we have tried and tested all and which we hope will cater and appeal to the majority of tastes.
As we have mentioned before we are immensely proud of our team who have a real depth of knowledge and passion for wine so, please don’t hesitate to ask for a recommendation and they will be more than happy to make a suggestion or talk all things wine with you.
Dining 'al fresco'
Is a must at The Pheasant. Our south-facing garden and patio have been lovingly landscaped to make the most of space, while still maintaining the feel of a traditional country pub garden.
Drinkers, diners, and dogs are all welcome to soak up the sun (or bask in the shade) in our garden. Rehydrate with a cold drink after a long walk in the stunning local countryside or enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif on our flower-filled patio.
We serve food, drinks, and bar snacks outside during our usual opening hours.
Tables on the patio area are available to be booked please make a note of this when using our online booking system or let us know when making a reservation over the phone and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
The main garden is more relaxed, and the wooden tables are available on a ‘first come first served’ basis but rest assured there is plenty of space!
